David Michael Greene

David is Head of Dispute at Edwin Coe, Solicitors. He qualified in 1980 and has practised in dispute resolution since then. He enjoys a broad practice in civil litigation, having appeared in domestic and international tribunals including the European Court of Human Rights and the ICC International Court of Arbitration. He has acted in many high profile matters and represents Government both domestically and internationally.

David has also been involved in alternative dispute resolution throughout his practice. He is CEDR accredited and has acted both as a mediator and advocate, privately and under the Central London County Court Scheme. He also conducts arbitrations, both as arbitrator and advocate. He has particular experience in international arbitrations, including those conducted under both the ICC and LCIA rules.

David was appointed by the Lord Chancellor in 1997 to the Civil Procedure Rules Committee, chaired by Lord Woolf, which put into effect the Woolf reforms.

He also writes and lectures widely concerning dispute resolution and human rights. He is the author of the New Civil Procedure; he is on the Editorial Board of Civil Court Practice (The Green Book); he is a contributor to the Law Society’s litigation manual, and has written various titles of Atkins Court Forms.
