John Roney

John Roney is a Solicitor and a partner in the company commercial department at Thring Townsend Lee & Pembertons in London. He was trained by and first accredited to the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) in 1993.

John Roney has practised in most areas of law, but for many years he has specialised in a large variety of contentious matters, including commercial disputes of all kinds, shareholder disputes, Inheritance Act claims and contentious probate, intellectual property, insurance, construction, professional and medical negligence, aviation and publishing.A good part of his practice has had an international element. He has acted for many high profile companies and individuals, both foreign (including state owned companies) and national.

He has had the conduct of disputes in every level of Court, before most types of tribunals and in arbitrations.

Since 1993, John Roney has been involved in many mediations, the majority of which have been successful, and has written a number of articles on ADR.
